Associate professor of the Department of Philology, Culture and Teaching Methods of the Institute of Education and Management, Candidate of Philology Ramanova Aigul Abibullaevna, in collaboration with Amangaliyeva Akkerbez Erbulatovna (a 2009 graduate of the master’s program in the Kazakh language and literature educational program, currently a senior lecturer of Zhangir Khan WKATU) published the monograph “Phraseologisms in Kh. Yesenzhanov’s trilogy “Ak Zhaiyk””.

In the presented work, for the first time, from a scientific point of view, the peculiarity of the use of stable phrases in the trilogy of Kh. Yesenzhanov “Ak Zhaiyk” was studied; phraseological units in the writer’s trilogy “Ak Zhaiyk” were divided into thematic groups; it was established that the work contains four variants of phraseological units; the lexical and grammatical characteristics of phraseological units in the writer’s works are considered and determined; using linguistic examples, it has been proven that phraseological units in Kh. Yesenzhanov’s trilogy “Ak Zhaiyk” are expressed differently in figurative construction; synonymous phraseological units in the writer’s language are identified and shown using language examples; the origins of phraseological units in Kh. Yesenzhanov’s trilogy “Ak Zhaiyk” are determined, the features of their use in the writer’s language are considered in the unity of three different approaches; a number of dialect phraseological units used by the writer are identified and shown.

It is worth noting that the monograph is closely related to the theoretical and practical issues of the disciplines “Lexicology of the modern Kazakh language”, “Kazakh stylistics” taught in philological departments atuniversities. The ideas expressed in the scientific work will in the future be useful to scientists who write educational materials and compile dictionaries on set phrases.
