On April 23, 2025, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University held a discussion meeting of the academic committee with stakeholders dedicated to updating and supplementing the educational program of the bachelor’s degree 6B03101 – Psychology for the 2025-2026 academic year.

One of the most important mechanisms for expanding the academic independence of universities is the development and annual updating of educational programs based on a competency-based approach in accordance with professional standards, taking into account the proposals of external and internal stakeholders and the needs of students.

The discussion of the educational program was attended by the faculty of the department, heads of structural divisions of the university, stakeholders, students, magistrands, graduates, representatives of public organizations, professional associations: vice-rector for academic and methodological work of WKITU Mashanova S.A., director of the Institute of Education and Management Tasmagambetov A.S., head of the department of planning and organization of the educational process Tulegenova A.U., head of the CSI “Regional Psychological, Medical and Pedagogical Counseling” Maselova R.E., head of the CSI “Office of Psychological and Pedagogical Correction of Uralsk” Galieva G.M., head of the Department of Employment and Social Programs “Crisis Center for Victims of Domestic Violence” Dauletiyarova M.T.

Following the meeting, updates and additions were made to the bachelor’s degree educational program for the 2025-2026 academic year, and it was also recommended to form a catalog of elective disciplines.
