At the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies, master class was held by 2-year master student, teacher-researcher Bektybaeva Aliya Alipkalievna on the topic “Hexagonal training and graphic organizers in Russian language and literature lessons”. During the master class, the key principles of hexagonal learning were considered. The main types of graphic organizers (clusters, intelligence cards, concept cards, etc.) were presented. Examples of successful use of these tools in teaching Russian language and literature were discussed. The participants united in groups and completed tasks: they created hexagrams on the topic of the studied literary works. They worked with graphic organizers to analyze texts. Presented their works, exchanged ideas and received feedback from the teacher. During discussion, the participants noted the relevance of the proposed methods and expressed their readiness to introduce them into their teaching practice. The master class was held at a high level. Participants received theoretical knowledge about hexagonal training and graphic organizers and practical skills in their application in work, as well as recommendations for further use. Feedback from the participants was carried out using the “Speaker Dialogue” method, where most students noted that the master class was useful, meaningful and inspiring. Possibility of practical application of methods and exchange of experience with colleagues was of particular value.
