Today, first-year students of the 6B04202 – “Law” educational program became acquainted with the university library’s operating system, its academic collection, and modern facilities.The orientation event was held at the library of the Scientific and Information Center of БҚИТУ. The main purpose of the meeting was to introduce students to library services, electronic resources, and information databases used in academic research.
Library staff provided detailed information about reading rooms, the lending department, the electronic catalog, as well as national and international scientific databases. Students were also guided on how to search for literature, place requests, and use online platforms. During the session, specialized legal literature, collections of regulatory legal acts, scientific journals, and periodicals were presented. The students became familiar with materials essential for their field of study and recognized the important role of the library in research activities.
The event was conducted in an interactive format, allowing students to receive answers to their questions. Library specialists also provided guidance on academic integrity, proper use of sources, and requirements for formatting academic papers.
Such events contribute to students’ professional development, enhance their research potential, and support the achievement of high-quality education. The university library once again proved to be not only a center of knowledge but also an important platform for intellectual growth.
