Within the framework of the Decade of Science Days held in the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University Institute of Industrial Technologies on April 11, 2024, a round table devoted to the 125th anniversary of K.I. Satpayev was held.

 Opening the session of the round table, the moderator of the meeting, the head of the department of General Education Disciplines, candidate of historical sciences, professor N.M. Kadyrgaliev noted the greatest importance of the personality of K.I. Satpayev for the Kazakhstan science.

Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Veterinary Science and Technosphere Safety V.A. Burakhta told in her speech about the main milestones of the scientist-geologist’s activity, his invaluable contribution to science, about the rich theoretical and practical heritage of the “Father of Kazakhstani geology” for the national science and economy.

Also with interest the participants of the round table met the speech of senior lecturer of the Department of Petroleum Engineering G.E. Kalesheva “The role of Satpayev K.I. in the creation of metallogenic map of Central Kazakhstan”. The message of the student of VTIS-12 group D. Gabdullin about the contribution of K.I. Satpayev to the victory during the Great Patriotic War left a great impression. The participants of the round table noted that the memory of the first Kazakh scientist, the discoverer of mineral ore deposits in Kazakhstan, a true patriot of his people Kanysh Satpayev immortalized in the name of Satpayev – the regional center of the newly formed Ulytau region. A new mineral “Satpayevit” was named in honor of the scientist. Also on April 12, on the birthday of K.I. Satpayev, Kazakhstan celebrates a professional holiday – Day of Science Workers, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of K.I. Satpayev.
