On September 18, 2023, senior lecturer of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety of IOT WKITU Akatova Rysbike Izbaskanovna organized an introductory tour to the research laboratory of Biotechnology for

1st-year students of VET-11O, VET-12O groups.

The Biotechnology Research Laboratory is a structural subdivision of IOT WKITU and is a research and production complex equipped with modern instruments and equipment.

During the tour, students got acquainted with the laboratories of veterinary and sanitary examination; microbiology and immunology; morphology and physiology, pharmacology and toxicology; veterinary surgery and obstetrics, lecture halls. The laboratories are equipped with new specialized furniture, they have devices and equipment for carrying out research work by scientists, teachers, graduate students and students: an ultrasound scanner for determining the pregnancy of animals, diseases of the reproductive organs of females and marbling of meat, an ultrasonic milk quality analyzer “Clover-1M”, a laboratory centrifuge TSLU-1-12, projection trichinelloscope “Steak”, mastitis detector, electorn microscopes, multifunctional machine for fixing animals. On the basis of the biotechnology research laboratory there is a vivarium with a total area of 820 m2, which is a scientific and production complex that meets international standards, on the basis of which scientific research on biotechnology, embryo transplantation and other priority areas of the veterinary service are carried out.
