From May 15 to May 19, 2023, the Volgograd State University hosted the International Student Olympiad in Engineering Specialties.
The participants of the events were 34 representatives from eight universities of Russia and neighboring countries, four teams took part in absentia. For three days, they passed competitive testing, performed the practical part at the Auto Tractor Plant, and solved problems. The winners were determined both in the individual championship and in the team competition. According to the results of the Olympiad, the team of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology took 2nd place!
In the individual championship (team No. 1):
– according to OP 6B07104 “Technological machines and equipment”, Vladimir Vladimirovich Kirpichnikov, a student of the TMO-12O group, took 2nd place in solving practical problems, the head of the senior teacher Nurgaliev Lenur Maksutovich;
– according to OP 6B07101 “Transport, transport equipment and technology” in the personal championship, the 2nd place was taken by the student of the TTT-42O group Lyubin Roman Dmitrievich, head of the Candidate of Technical Sciences, PhD Omarov Akylbek Nurlybekovich;
– according to OP 6B11301 “Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport”, the 2nd place in solving test tasks was taken by a student of the OP-42O group Sagidulin Ernar Zhenisovich, head senior teacher Kiyasova Gulzada Madievna.
Team No. 2 (remotely):
– according to OP 6B07104 “Technological machines and equipment”, Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Zhivetin, a student of the TMO-12O group, took 2nd place in the personal championship, the head of the senior teacher Gubaidullin Kumiskali Zhubanyshovich;
– according to OP 6B11301 “Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport”, the 3rd place in solving test tasks was taken by a student of the OP-22O group Aybek Asetuly Batyrov, head of the Candidate of Technical Sciences Kazhiyakhmetova Ainur Aronovna;
– according to OP 6B07101 “Transport, transport equipment and technology”, the 3rd place in solving practical problems was taken by a student of the TTT-21O group, Nailya Takenovna Gusmanova, the head of the senior teacher Gumarov Dastan Zheksengalievich.
