On 08.11.2024 at the Department of Power Engineering, Automation and Computer Engineering there was held a meeting of the Head of the Department Utesheva G.Sh. and teachers with the students of 1, 2, 3 and 4 courses of educational programs “Power Engineering”, “Computer Science and Information Systems” and “Automation and Control”. At the meeting were discussed key issues of the organization of the educational process: examination sessions and final certification, opportunities for students to participate in research (NIRO), the peculiarities of practical training, the importance of attending classes and the results of 1 boundary control, acquaintance of students with the teaching staff and key people responsible for different areas of the department.

G.Sh. Utesheva, Head of the Department, opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, telling about the objectives of the Department and the importance of interaction between students and teachers. After that, each teacher introduced himself/herself and told about his/her role:

– The person in charge of academic process informed the students about the schedule, exams, coursework, and possible changes in the curriculum.

– The person responsible for research shared information about research projects, conferences, and opportunities for students wishing to engage in research.

– The responsible for practice told about the process of organizing internships and practices, as well as about partner organizations with which the department cooperates.

– The responsible for educational work informed the students about cultural, sports and other events organized by the university.

The students shared their suggestions and comments, which allowed the faculty to improve interaction and identify possible areas for improvement of the educational process. At the end of the meeting, the head of the department summarized the conversation, thanked the students for their active participation and reminded them of the opportunity to seek help from the faculty on any issues.
