On February 27, 2025, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Industry Technologies of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University (WKITU), the Hackathon “Digital and Innovative Technologies for Regional Development” took place.

The event was organized by the Department of Energy, Automation, and Computer Engineering and aimed to encourage college students to develop and implement innovative digital solutions to advance regional infrastructure, economy, education, ecology, and other sectors.

14 teams from leading colleges of the region participated in the competition, including:

Higher Engineering and Technology College;

Uralsk College of Information Technologies;

Uralsk Polytechnic College;

Uralsk Higher Humanities and Technical College;

Higher Agricultural and Technical College;

Uralsk Service and Technology College, and others.

The competition results were as follows:

1st place – Uralsk College of Information Technologies team;

2nd place – Higher Agricultural and Technical College team;

3rd place – Higher Engineering and Technology College team.

All participants received certificates of participation, and team leaders were awarded letters of appreciation for their contribution to guiding students and supporting digital technology initiatives.

Participants demonstrated high preparation levels, creative approaches, and the practical value of their projects. We congratulate the winners and thank all participants for their interesting and promising ideas!
