On February 17, according to the signed memorandum of cooperation between ZKITU and the Department of the Penal Enforcement System for the West Kazakhstan region, a guest lecture by employers, practitioners of the DUIS was held at the Department of Law of the Institute of Industry Technologies for students of the second year of the 6B04202 “Jurisprudence” educational program studying the special discipline “Penal Enforcement Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan” in the 2nd semester. in the West Kazakhstan region on the topic “Institutions and bodies executing punishment and control”.
Lecturers – deputy of institution No. 74, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Akhmetkalieva L.K. and head of the regime department of institution No. 27, Major of Justice Aiberstiev E.O, told the audience in detail about the types of institutions of the penal system for serving sentences to citizens convicted by the court. On the specifics and regimes of detention of convicts in institutions of minimum, medium and maximum security, for women and minors. We have informed about the presence of medical institutions in our region, about the legal status of convicts, their rights and obligations according to Articles 10, st11 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about their involvement in labor, organization of educational, cultural, mass, sports work with them. It was informed about the possibility of convicts receiving primary, secondary, technical and vocational education in institutions of the DUIS. We introduced them to the probation service, which monitors citizens who have been sentenced to probation and are engaged in their social adaptation at their place of residence.
Major of Justice Alibayeva S.S., the chief personnel Specialist of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the West Kazakhstan Region, told the students about the procedure for serving in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the procedure for selecting personnel, the existing qualification requirements for enlisted and officer personnel, the social security of employees and the privileges available in this service.
The guests answered all the students’ questions, wishing them success in their studies, and invited them to practice and serve in the penal system.
