On February 17, 2025, according to the work plan of the IOT School of Pedagogical Excellence, teachers of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety held a round table on the topic “Chemical industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan: current state, development and prospects.” The event was attended by teachers of the department and students of scientific circles “Island of safety”, “Aibolit”.

Currently, the chemical industry is one of the strategically important and priority sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. Being one of the most high-tech industries in Kazakhstan, the industry is represented in various sectors of the economy, including the mining and metallurgical complex, agriculture, the oil industry, the food sector, pharmaceuticals, etc.

The round table discussed issues related to the prospects for the development of the chemical industry in Kazakhstan, and considered the main factors contributing to the development of existing chemical industries.

The students prepared and made presentations on topical issues of the development of the chemical industry in Kazakhstan and asked interesting questions. At the end, there was a lively discussion where the students were able to share their thoughts and impressions.
