Zhastalapuly Salauat held a guest lecture on the topic “Comparative characteristics of technological pumps in the oil and gas industry” for students of the educational programs “Oil and Gas business” 6B07201/6B07204.

Process pumps play an important role in the oil and gas industry. They are used for pumping liquids (oil, water, chemicals) in the processes of extraction, transportation and processing.

There were discussions on such issues during the lecture: as the main types of pumps used in the oil and gas industry, their advantages and disadvantages, areas of application, factors influencing the choice of pumps, the correctness of the choice of pumps in various conditions, operating mode and technical and economic efficiency.

The lecturer presented modern innovations in this field, which are aimed at increasing productivity and reducing energy consumption.

At the end of the lecture, Zhastalapuly Salauat answered the questions asked, and the students received the information they needed.
