Personnel play an important role in the development of veterinary medicine – the level of their professional knowledge, skills and abilities on the organization of veterinary activities, veterinary services of animal husbandry and other branches of the agro-industrial complex, forms and methods of organizing the work of veterinary specialists, economics of veterinary business, methods and techniques of veterinary statistics. On December 7, 2022, teachers of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety of ZKITU held a meeting with graduate students of the specialty «Veterinary Medicine» of the Higher College of Engineering and Technology as part of career guidance work.

During the meeting, the necessary information was presented about the educational program «Veterinary Medicine», the terms and forms of training, the demand for graduates in the labor market, the organization of academic mobility of students, the characteristics of the bases of educational and industrial practices, the conditions of training at the military department, the organization of student life within the walls of the university. College students got acquainted with the research laboratory of biotechnology, SEC «Shamshyrak». All the necessary conditions have been created for training: a modern educational and laboratory building, the classrooms of which are equipped with multimedia equipment, there are laboratories equipped with modern equipment and tools for practical demonstration of methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various pathologies in animals. Within walking distance from the educational and laboratory building there is a vivarium, which houses cattle, sheep and goats, as well as laboratory animals and agricultural poultry (chickens, geese, quails). Conditions for veterinary manipulations with animals have been created in the vivarium: a modern multifunctional retainer that ensures the safe conduct of various manipulations on various parts of the body of large animals and a split for mass veterinary treatments. Sufficient lighting and optimal temperature allows classes to be held in winter.

The meeting was held in a lively atmosphere, and numerous questions were asked from the students about the conditions of admission to the university, the provision of discounts for tuition, passing examination sessions, the conditions of admission to the university, studying at the military department.
