Chess is a logic board game with chess pieces on a 64-cell board, combining elements of art, science and sports. Chess is usually played by two players against each other. Since 13 to 14 of January 2024, the open chess championship in Uralsk city among seniors (50+) took place. In which chess players from Uralsk and   West Kazakhstan regions took part. This competition was held according to the Swiss system, and once again the head of the department of general education disciplines, professor, candidate of historical sciences Kadyrgaliev Nurbolat Mendygalievich, won.
