On November 4, 2026, lecturers from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, together with students enrolled in the 6B07201/6B07204 Oil and Gas Engineering educational programs, visited the mini oil refinery of Ural Petroleum LLP as part of an industrial tour.

The purpose of the tour was to reinforce the students’ theoretical knowledge through exposure to real industrial operations and to introduce them to careers in the oil refining sector.

The refinery specialists explained the primary oil refining process, the operation of technological units, and industrial safety requirements. The students visited the chemical analysis laboratory and the production site, where they saw firsthand how crude oil is transformed into finished petroleum products.

During the tour, the students asked the specialists many questions and received valuable information about their future profession. Such industrial tours help young people make informed career choices, understand workplace culture, and strengthen the connection between theory and practice.
