In the 2nd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, at the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University, as part of academic mobility of teaching staff, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Technosphere Safety of the Saratov State Technical University named after Yu.A. Gagarin, Candidate of Biological Sciences Natalia Vedeneeva conducted lectures and practical classes on the discipline «Water protection resources» for 3rd year students of OP 6B11201 –«Life safety and environmental protection» in the amount of 5 credits.
The lectures touched upon issues related to water resources, studied existing methods, technologies and facilities for natural and wastewater treatment, highlighted issues of protection and reproduction of water sources. Students learned to perform calculations to determine the water needs of various sectors of the national economy, to master the methodology for developing a scheme for the integrated use and protection of water resources and water management balances, as well as to take measures to prevent depletion, clogging and pollution of natural waters and improve their quality.
Students of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology showed great interest in very informative and fascinating lectures and practical classes!
