On 09/28/2023 at 15:00, the Academic partner of ZKITU, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbayev – Police Colonel N.T. Sakhanova, held a detailed lecture for students of OP 6B04202 Jurisprudence, 6B04203 Legal regulation of transportation, movement and operation of transport of the Department of Law on the topic “Three-link model of the criminal process”

Prospective bachelors of law were shown the promising aspects of this model. The lecturer noted that with such a model, three links are responsible for the criminal process: the investigative body, the prosecutor’s office and the court. Such a distinction creates a human rights barrier, protecting against unjustified illegal decisions of the investigating authorities. All key decisions of the criminal prosecution bodies without the consent of the prosecutor have no legal force and legal consequences. The advantage of coordinating key decisions is the elimination of unnecessary bureaucratic delays. Saving investigators’ time. The three-tier model of the criminal process, implemented on behalf of the Head of State, undoubtedly ensures the rule of law, justice and security of the population.

According to the results of the lecture, the students summarized that the gradual transition from supervision to the adoption of procedural decisions allows protecting the constitutional rights of citizens, both the suspect and the victim, eliminating the facts of unjustified involvement in the orbit of the criminal process and, in general, ensuring the objectivity of the investigation.
