On April 15, 2025, students of the 2nd and 3rd courses of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety OP 6B11201 Life Safety and Environmental Protection under the guidance of senior lecturer Gabdrahim L.R. visited the operational rescue squad of the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan region.
During the practice-oriented lesson, the staff of the operational rescue squad demonstrated modern emergency rescue equipment and personal protective equipment, and talked about the specifics of conducting rescue operations in various emergency situations. The students learned about the daily activities of rescuers, their training, and actions in natural and man-made disasters.
Special attention was paid to the issues of fire safety, first aid, as well as the importance of compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. The students not only watched the work of professionals, but also had the opportunity to practice working with hydraulic rescue tools under the supervision of specialists.
The practice-oriented lesson aroused great interest among the students, they actively asked questions, discussed what they saw and expressed gratitude to the organizer and the staff of the Emergency Department for a valuable and informative meeting. The event left vivid impressions and became an important stage in the professional orientation of future life safety specialists.
