The educational program 6B07102 – “Electric Power Industry” was developed on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III ZRK (with amendments and additions dated 04/27/2023), the Industry Qualification System and professional standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, as well as the current regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The content and logic of the educational program are determined by the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the requirements of employers and the internal regulations of the University. Forming an educational program, in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework and Professional Standards, it is coordinated with the Dublin descriptors and the European Qualifications Framework, takes into account the requirements of the labor market and the requests of employers.
The Institute of Industry Technologies and the Department of “Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering” used modern scientifically and practically grounded approaches to planning, methodological support and the training technologies used. The result of such approaches is the academic integrity of normative and educational documents, which at a sufficiently high level ensures effective management of the mechanism for the implementation of this educational program.
The educational program provides for students to choose the direction of study in one of the following two specializations: “Operation and repair of electrical equipment of industrial enterprises” and “Operation, repair and design of electrical electromechanical equipment of agricultural production”.
During the revision of the OP, a number of new disciplines were introduced at the request of employers, such as “Overvoltage and isolation”, “High Voltage Engineering”, “Energy Audit of industrial enterprises”.
During the development, constant periodic review and implementation of the educational program, cooperation with employers is systematic: there is a practice of discussing and coordinating the content of the educational program with employers in the region; involving employers in the educational process and management practices, reviewing methodological developments of teachers; including employers in the educational process in the state certification commissions conducted questionnaires and assessment of employers’ satisfaction with quality training of specialists.
The most important component of the educational program is educational and industrial practice, which students undergo in energy services at the state, regional and local levels of government, enterprises and energy supply organizations, as well as in energy supply companies both in Uralsk and the West Kazakhstan region, and in the Western region of the republic as a whole. a single whole, which is the basis of practices.
