Educational program 6B06104 – «Computer technology and information systems» was developed on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Education» dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III ZRK (with amendments and additions as of04/20/2023G.) Industry Qualifications Framework and Professional Standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs «Atameken», as well as current regulatory documents of PK. The content and logic of constructing the educational program is determined by the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the requirements of employers and the internal regulations of the university. When forming the educational program, the Institute of Industry Technologies and the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Science used modern scientifically and practically grounded approaches to planning, methodological support, and teaching technologies used. The result of such approaches is the academic integrity of regulatory and educational documents, which at a sufficiently high level ensures effective management of the mechanism for implementing a given educational program.
The educational program 6B06104 «Computer technology and information systems» was developed in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework and Professional Standards, coordinated with the Dublin descriptors and the European Qualifications Framework.
The educational program provides for students to choose their area of training in one of the following two specializations:
- Computer hardware and software
- Information systems

During the revision of the ЕP, the following additions and changes were made to it:
– at the request of employers, a number of new disciplines were introduced, such as «Java Script programming language», «Object-oriented language Dart», and also increased the number of discipline credits «PHP programming», «Web programming»
– the content of a number of basic and specialized disciplines was revised and a number of duplicating disciplines were excluded in order to bring them into compliance with the requirements of the Professional Standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs «Atameken».
When developing, constantly periodically reviewing and implementing an educational program, cooperation with employers is systematic: the practice has developed of discussing and agreeing on the content of the educational program with employers in the region; involving employers in the educational process and management of practices, reviewing the methodological developments of teachers; inclusion of employers in state certification commissions, surveys and assessment of employers’ satisfaction with the quality of specialist training.
The most important component of the educational program is educational and practical training, which students undergo in leading enterprises and IT organizations in the city of Uralsk and the West Kazakhstan region, which are the practice bases.
