With the implementation of multilingual education in the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan due to the lack of a unified theoretical, methodological platform, the difference approaches to solving problems and seeing the situation as a whole, there is a variety of action plans implementation of multilingual education.
The study of the state of multilingual education in ZKITU and our analysis shows that there is an acute problem of insufficient language preparation of teachers of non-language subjects, the lack of domestic textbooks in English on majors; absence of a consistent system of professional development of teachers abroad, the leading classes in a foreign language.
In order to find effective ways of training of multilingual staff is necessary to solve the following problems:
– Inconsistency of existing qualifications and performance requirements of multilingual specialist;
– Lack of regulatory and program-methodical support of multilingual education;
– The lack of a unified concept of the preparation of multilingual professionals on the basis of competence-based approach;
– Insufficient knowledge about the experience of foreign countries for the implementation of multilingual education;
– Undeveloped labor performance evaluation mechanism of multilingual specialist.
If we consider the issue on a global scale, it is necessary to combine the efforts of experts from different countries in the promotion of the principles of polylinguism and cultural diversity. Therefore, the rate and degree of success of the development of multilingual education at universities are dependent on stimulation of cooperation, including international, in the field of education.
