On September 14, 2021, information and explanatory work was carried out with the participation of Azat Yerlanovich, a theologian of the “Center for the Study of Problems of Religion” of the West Kazakhstan Regional Department for Religious Affairs, as well as with the students of the university in an online format.
The meeting was held on the topic “Religion-the spiritual support of education”.
The purpose of the meeting is to warn young people against the spread of pseudo-religious movements. That is, how to distinguish pseudo-religious currents from traditional religions can be explained in detail to young pupils who could not stand it.
The meeting was held in the form of a dialogue between students and the theologian. The religious theologian stressed that it is necessary to pay special attention to internal stability and traditional spiritual values. Azat Yerlanovich spoke about state-confessional relations in modern Kazakhstan.
During the conversation, the issues of wearing the hijab, the reasons for attracting young people to banned organizations, and topical problems of a theological nature were discussed.
At the end of the event, the students asked their questions on this topic and received comprehensive answers to the questions asked. The students were also given links to websites where they can get reliable information.This meeting was of great educational importance.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of ZKITU Nugmanova Shattyk Yerkinovna on behalf of the university staff expressed gratitude to the Department for Religious Affairs , which organized an important meeting for today’s youth.
