Educational program 6B07105 Automation and control (by industry) developed on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III ZRK (with amendments and additions as of 04/27/2023), the Industry Qualifications Framework and Professional Standards of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, as well as the current regulatory documents PK. The content and logic of the educational program is determined by the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education PK, the requirements of employers and the internal regulations of the university. Forming the educational program, the Institute of Industry Technologies and the Department of Electric Power Engineering, Automation and Computer Engineering used modern scientifically and practically grounded approaches to planning, methodological support, and the training technologies used. The result of such approaches is the academic integrity of normative and educational documents, which at a sufficiently high level ensures effective management of the mechanism for the implementation of this educational program.

The educational program provides for students to choose their field of study in one of the following two specializations: “Automation and control in the electric power industry” or “Automation and control in the oil and gas industry”. During the revision of the OP , the following additions and changes were made to it:

– the disciplines “Fundamentals of Ecology, Business and Law”, Financial literacy are included.

During the development, constant periodic review and implementation of the educational program, cooperation with employers is systematic: there is a practice of discussing and coordinating the content of the educational program with employers in the region; involving employers in the educational process and practice management, reviewing methodological developments of teachers; including employers in the state certification commissions, questionnaires and assessing employers’ satisfaction with the quality of training specialists.

The most important component of the educational program is the training and production practices that students undergo at leading enterprises and organizations of various sectors of the economy, both in Uralsk and the West Kazakhstan region, and the Western region of the republic as a whole, which are the bases of practices.
