From April 21 to 24, third-year students of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Automation and Computer Engineering, Educational Program 6B07102 – “Electric Power Engineering,” actively participated in the International Student Olympiad “Hope of Energy,” held at the Institute of Engineering and Robotics of the Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N.I. Vavilov.
The purpose of the Olympiad was to identify talented youth, develop the creative abilities of students in electrical power and electrical engineering specialties, improve the quality of education and professional training, and strengthen scientific and technical cooperation among young specialists.
The program included theoretical (testing and problem-solving) and practical stages. The practical competition consisted of:
assembling a reverse control circuit for a three-phase electric motor;
testing the insulation resistance of an operating power transformer;
installation of SIP wire.
Our participants — Takhambetov N., Asylbek A., Oryngali A., and Nasikhov A. — demonstrated high professional and theoretical knowledge. Experts from Rosseti and the Vavilov University awarded additional points to our team for the quality and speed of task completion.
As a result, the team won 2nd place and received the diploma “Best Team” in the nomination “SIP Wire Installation.”
