On May 14, 2026, as part of the School of Teaching Excellence, Associate Professor of the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering, PhD V.P. Zakharov, conducted a seminar on the topic: “Modern Trends and Practical Aspects of Patent Studies.”

The seminar enabled participants to broaden their knowledge in the field of intellectual property, become familiar with modern patenting requirements and trends, and acquire practical skills in preparing patent documentation.

During the seminar, the main principles of patent law, patentability criteria, and the specifics of conducting patent searches were discussed. Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of preparing patent applications and analyzing common mistakes made by applicants.

The knowledge and skills gained contribute to the development of the professional competencies of teachers and researchers, improve the quality of research activities, and ensure effective protection of intellectual property results.
