On April 2, 2026, the regional akimat held an awards ceremony honoring citizens who have made significant contributions to the country’s development, successfully worked in various fields, and actively participated in public life. At the ceremony, several individuals were presented with state awards and letters of thanks from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Among the award recipients was Ayanbek Imanbaevich Abekeshev, Vice Rector for Educational Work at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University. The awards were presented by Kairzhan Mendigaliev, Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region.

This award was given for his outstanding contribution to the organization and conduct of the National Referendum, for his strong civic position in improving the structure of public administration and for his active participation in socio-political processes that are important for the future of the country.
