On December 23, 2025, within the framework of the 2024–2026 Roadmap of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University, Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev held a meeting of the expert working group on “IT Technologies” and an international round table on “Ethics and Safety Issues in the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Technologies.”

The event was attended by representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, Russian universities, as well as guests from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, who presented their reports on current AI and security issues. A report titled “Quantum Threat to Modern AI Systems: Cryptographic Resilience and Data Trust” was presented by PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Energy, Automation, and Computer Engineering of WKITU. The participants’ presentations sparked keen interest and contributed to the discussion of key ethical and safety issues in the implementation of AI technologies.
