On December 9, 2025, the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan Region  in collaboration with the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, held the International Scientific Conference “Historical Memory and National Identity: Dialogue between Science and Society”.

The conference was attended by scholars and students from the West Kazakhstan region, as well as scholars from Astana, Almaty, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.

In particular, Professor of the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Doctor of History Abduakap Kara (Turkey, Istanbul), Director of the Department of Science of Karabakh University, Professor, Doctor Ibragimov Elshin Alioglu (Republic of Azerbaijan), Head of the History Department of the Institute of Humanities of the Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of History Jumashev Askar Mambetuly (Republic of Uzbekistan, Nukus), Professor of the Faculty of Literature of Hazettepe University, Professor of the Department of Turkish Public Education, Doctor Ozkul Chobanoglu (Ankara), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of History, Professor Karibayev Bereket Bakytzhanovich (Almaty), associate professor of the Department of Turkology of the L.N. Gumilyov Institute of Turkology, PhD Moldabaiuly Talgat (Astana) participated and made presentations on the relevant topic of the conference.

Following the conference, a resolution was adopted, emphasizing the relevance of issues of historical memory, national identity, and Turkic unity, as well as the need for in-depth study. It was proposed to publish the conference proceedings as a collection.
