To implement the Head of State’s “Law and Order” principle, a meeting between staff from the Department of Legal Statistics and Special Accounting of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the West Kazakhstan Region and university students was held at the Institute of Education and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University.

The key topics of the meeting were:

– Improving students’ legal literacy and awareness of the law;

– Crime prevention among young people, including combating fraud and drug-related crime;

– The role of the prosecutor’s office in protecting citizens’ rights and interacting with educational institutions;

The students were able to ask prosecutors personal and relevant questions regarding labor rights, cybersecurity, and other topics.

“Today’s meeting is an important step in building trust between law enforcement agencies and young people. Your active civic engagement helps us work more effectively for the benefit of society” emphasized Salikha Yrsainovna Kurbayeva, senior prosecutor of the Department and first-class lawyer.

The department’s prosecutors, third-class lawyer Dana Magauovna Darbayeva and second-class lawyer Serikkazy Gasyr Aidynuly, also spoke about cybercrimes actively used against citizens today.

The event, held in the format of an open dialogue, focused on legal education for young people and the protection of civil rights.
