On December 5, 2024, the Department of Energy, Automation, and Computer Engineering hosted a scientific seminar as part of the ‘Energy’ student scientific club, organized in collaboration with students from the Polytechnic Institute of WKATU named after Zhangir Khan.
The main theme of the roundtable was an exchange of views on the construction of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Kazakhstan. The event was attended by 2nd and 3rd-year students from the educational programs “Electric Power Engineering” and “Automation and Control.” Among the invited experts was the head of the relay protection and automation engineering group at LLP “ZapKazRec,” Maksim Kenesovich Idrisov.
The goal of the scientific seminar was to provide a platform for communication and knowledge exchange among participants, as well as to offer feedback. Participants of the roundtable discussed the prospects for the development of nuclear energy and explored new technologies and innovations in the field.
The event concluded with an open discussion. Students actively debated environmental issues and energy security related to nuclear power plants.”
