On November 28, 2024, a student scientific and practical conference “Environmental problems and ways to solve them in Kazakhstan” was held at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety WKITU. The main purpose of the event was to discuss topical environmental problems in the Western region of Kazakhstan, exchange experiences and find ways to solve them.
The moderators of the conference are senior teachers of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, masters Toleuova R.N., Amirgalieva J.A.
Within the framework of the conference, students made interesting presentations that address the current environmental problems of the West Kazakhstan region.
The conference participants were very interested in reports on current topical environmental problems: the multidimensional anthropogenic impact on the Ural, Chagan, Derkul, Shalkar Lakes and changes in the quality of their waters, pollution of reservoirs with sewage and plastic, self-purification of reservoirs, problems related to the population of saiga in the West Kazakhstan region, the consequences of flooding. The students considered natural and anthropogenic factors affecting the state of the environment, atmospheric air, and water bodies; conservation of natural nature and biodiversity in Uralsk; development of specially protected natural areas, etc.
All participants of the conference noted the importance of the event to identify promising ways of research in the field of restoration of the natural environment and overcoming problems related to biodiversity and pollution of nature.
