On November 12, as part of the “Quality Week-2024” events on the topic “Professional pedagogical activity – the basis for the formation of pedagogical skills”, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, under the guidance Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor Kinzhekova R.S., Masters of Pedagogy, senior lecturers Amangeldieva B.N. and Kabdi Zh.S. held a seminar for teachers and students on the topic “Cybersecurity and digital ethics”. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the problems of cybersecurity and ways to prevent cybercrime, the formation of skills for safe behavior in the digital environment. The seminar was attended by the head of the criminal police department of the Uralsk Police Department, the Abai Police Department, police major Bisengaliev A.Zh., senior operative officer of the Abai Police Department of the Uralsk Police Department, police captain Orynbasarov D.D. They spoke on the topic: “Types and prevention of Internet fraud”, Director of IT Group Kazakhstan LLP Saburova A.B. spoke about the work on the “Komek Stop Bulling” information system, Head of the Digitalization and Innovation Department of the Institute of Education and Management Mukhtar Z.G. in his speech “Be careful with online activities! Fundamentals of cybersecurity” presented ways to take cybersecurity measures on the Internet. Head of the Department of Planning and Organization of the Educational Process, Master of Economics, senior lecturer Tulegenova A.U. showed using a life situation as an example that the human factor is the weakest link in the cybersecurity chain. Senior Lecturer, Master of Pedagogy Amangeldiyeva B.N. in her report “Psychology of Digital Attacks: Why Are Cyberattacks Against People So Effective?” spoke about the psychological foundations of cybersecurity, senior lecturer, Master of Pedagogy Kabdi Zh.S. introduced the contents of the educational and methodological manual “Cybersecurity of Children and Adolescents in the Digital Space”, which is being prepared for publication. In order to summarize the results of the seminar, a survey was conducted to assess the level of cybersecurity and digital competence of the participating students.
