Within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the Alash movement and the program article of the head of state, Nazarbayev N.A., “Bolashaqqa baghdar: ruhani zhangghyru”, for the first time, a cognitive meeting was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University entitled “We live on Gumar Karash street”. The residents of Gumar Karash street were invited to this meeting, where the educational institution is located.
The purpose of this event is to acquaint the residents of the street with the biography and social and political activities of Gumar Karash, one of the leaders of the Alash movement, and increase the sense of respect of today’s generation to the great ancestors, “says Boranbayeva B.S., Candidate of History, head of the circle ” Alashtanu “.
During the event, a book exhibition entitled “Gumar Karash-alash tulgasy” was organized for street residents. The opening speech was made by Dean of the pedagogical faculty Dzhumakayeva B.S. Scientist-researcher of biography and activity of Gumar Karash Boranbayeva B.S. told about the life of Gumar Karash and his descendants, and then a film about the public figure “Shoq shashqan shezhire” was shown. Also, a video recording of an interview of Uralsk journalists with Nabiya Burkhanovna Karasheva – the granddaughter of Gumar Karash, residing in Moscow, was demonstrated.
Candidate of Philology, associate professor Abdulmanov told about the work of the poet-thinker and acquainted with its content. Residents of the streets listened to Gumar Karash’s poems: “Will it pass?”, “Do we see?”, “The sun has risen,” “What I’m afraid of” “I don’t understand,” “Zhiger,” and others.
Candidate of History, professor Suleimenova D.D. said that in the article of the head of state “Bolashaqqa baghdar: ruhani zhangghyru” the concept of “national revival” means the maturity of the national consciousness. Thus, an organized evening of meeting with the residents of Gumar Karash street has great importance for the revival of our national consciousness and for raising the historical understanding.
At the end of the evening the guests spoke about the name of the street Gumar Karash and his descendants, as well as stories about his grandchildren. Expressing sincere wishes to the organizers of the event.
However, residents of the street complained that there was no street lighting, and this does not fit into the name of Gumar Karash, a historical prominent figure.
