At the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, Institute of Industry Technologies, a famous scientist, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of WKU named after M. Utemisov B.S. gave a guest lecture Boranbaeva B.S.
During the Great Patriotic War, more than 7,000 Kazakh women went to defend their homeland from the fascist invaders. Most of them were young girls 18-20 years old, many of whom went to the front as volunteers. Many of them, with arms in hand, repeated the feat of our glorious countrywomen Heroes of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova, Aliya Molagulova and Khiuaz Dospanova, who was awarded the high title of Halyk Kaharmany. The learned historian Baktyly Boranbaeva dedicated her scientific and documentary monograph to the feat of the West Kazakhstan participants of the Great Patriotic War, which was published in 2015.
In front of an audience of students and teachers of WKITU, Baktyly Sansyzbaevna spoke about 19 heroines of her documentary book. All of them come from the West Kazakhstan region. Our brave countrywomen fought on the front lines of a bloody war, mastered the military craft in a very short time, and endured the hardships of front-line life with honor.
Each of the heroines of B. Boranbaeva’s book is worthy of admiration and memory for the feat accomplished during the Great Patriotic War. These are M. Kozhakhmetova, G. Rakhmetova, Zamikha Nausheva, A. Gabdusheva, R. Momynova, M. Makatova, K. Ermekova, A. Niyazgalieva, M. Umbetova, K. Akhmetova and others. They went through the war as machine gunners, riflemen, signalmen, paratroopers, nurses, doctors in field hospitals…
The audience received the speech of the Uralsk scientist, who continues research on this topic, with undisguised interest. Head of the General Educational Disciplines Department, Candidate of Historical Sciences N.M. Kadyrgaliev warmly thanked B.S. Boranbaeva for her informative lecture.
