According to the plan of the methodological seminar of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering of the Institute of Industrial Technologies, in October, with the participation of the teaching staff, another methodological seminar was held: «The use of modern technologies in the formation of functional literacy of students.» The seminar was conducted by senior lecturer, Master of Technical Sciences Manas Kayratuly.

The purpose of the methodological seminar is to study the level of functional literacy of students today, to consider the most rational side of modern technologies in finding the causes for the consequences of the problems occurring and the formation of functional literacy of students. The educated generation is our future. The great teacher Magzhan Zhumabayev believed in young people so that we could be competitive, be on an equal footing with developed countries in functional literacy.

Summing up the activities of the seminar with the words of edification of Abai – «A human child is not born reasonable. Only by listening, contemplating, tasting everything by touch and taste, it begins to learn the difference between good and bad. The more a child sees and hears, the more he learns».
