On May 18, 2023, a guest lecture was held at the Department of «Architecture and Construction» of Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of WKITU with the participation of Ruslan Davletbayev, a specialist of the geoinformation system of Tengizchevroil company. Before the lecture, the head of the Department of «Architecture and Construction», Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Narikov Kanat Amangeldievich made a welcoming speech. The guest lecture was attended by teaching staff of the Department of «Architecture and Construction», as well as students of 2,3 courses enrolled in educational programs 6B07301-«Architecture», 6B07302-«Construction», 6B07303-«Land Management and Cadastre».

Ruslan Davletbayev, lecturer, specialist of the geoinformation system of Tengizchevroil company, gave a lecture on the topic «Geoinformation systems in the land cadastre», telling about the purpose of geoinformation systems in urban planning, land management and cadastral spheres. Geoinformation systems has connections with information and automated systems, digital maps, GIS shells, databases, etc. Also, for students, the invited lecturer conveyed information about the ArcGIS, 2GIS, AIS SLC programs, which are relevant today not only in the professional, but also in the everyday household sphere.

The guest lecture was held at the highest level. The teaching staff of the department and the students got acquainted with the topic of the guest lecture in depth and disclosed, the lecturer was asked questions of interest to the teaching staff and students.

At the end of the lecture, the faculty of the department and the students thanked the invited lecturer for taking the time to conduct an interesting lecture, and wished great success in their professional activities!
