On April 29, 2022, within the framework of events approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov held the XII Republican Subject Olympiad of students in online format on the ZOOM platform in accordance with the recommendations of the basic higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization and conduct of republican subject Olympiads under the educational program 5B011400 – “History”.
The main tasks of the Olympiad, which was attended only by students of the educational program 5B011400 – “History” of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
– Popularization of the program “Rukhani zhangyru”;
– Strengthening the positions of disciplines on the history of Kazakhstan among the basic courses of universities;
– increase and popularization of interest in the study of the history of Kazakhstan, world history in a new geopolitical situation;
– support of talented youth, assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of students;
– stimulating interest in scientific and pedagogical activities.
The Organizing Committee has formed a jury of 7 members to evaluate all competitions of the Olympiad.
The jury was headed by the chairman, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov Amanzhol Kuzembauly.

Isenov Otegen Ihsanovich-Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, Candidate of Historical Sciences;
Bekmagambetova Maysara Zhaugashtinovna-Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, Candidate of Historical Sciences;
Gaukhar Zkriyanovna Balgabayeva – Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, Candidate of Historical Sciences;
Yarochkina Elizaveta Viktorovna -Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, Candidate of Historical Sciences;
Kelinberdieva Yrsaldy Sielkhanovna-Director of KSU “Specialized Boarding School named after Y. Altynsarina” of the Department of Education of the Akimat of Kostanay region, history teacher, teacher-researcher.
The following teams took part in the Republican student subject Olympiad: “Batys Kyrandary” from the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, Karaganda University named after E. A. Buketov, Kyzylorda University named afterKorkyt Ata, M. H. Dulati Taraz Regional University, M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov, Pavlodar Pedagogical University, Syrdarya University, Abai Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University, teams of Shakarim Semipalatinsk University took part. The Olympiad was held in three stages in group and individual competitions. Working languages: Kazakh and Russian.
At the first stage of the Olympiad, the presentation of the participating teams was accepted (greeting). Its content includes: presentation of the name and motto of the group, professional views, the historical treasury of the region, achievements of the university, faculty and scientific school, reflecting the positions of the participants.
The second stage of the Olympiad was called “Intellectual” and consisted of 2 stages:
Creative relay race “Competition of captains”, “Unknown figures from the regions”. The purpose of this relay is to popularize unknown figures of Alash from the regions. At this stage of the competition, participants were shown a booklet, infographics, and a video dedicated to unknown figures of the Alash region.
The third stage of the Olympiad is a competition of scientific projects on the topic: “A. Baitursynov’s legacy and actual problems of modern society”. The main purpose of the competition is to identify and develop the creative activity of students, actively participate in the preparation and implementation of scientific projects to identify creative and talented students.
According to the results of the republican subject Olympiad, the team of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University “Batys Kyrandary” took the 3rd prize. The team was also awarded by the organizing committee and the jury for masterful preparation and responsibility, teamwork. Team composition: Batys kyrandary group – 3rd year students of the educational program History Ualiev T. T. (team captain), Aigaziev M. K., 1st year students-Mutigollin B. M., Sayasatov Zh. N.
The closing speech of the Republican Student Olympiad was given to the chairman of the jury, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov A. Kuzembaevich, who, based on the points scored for completing tasks of all three stages, determined the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad, the final results of the Olympiad were announced, prizes and gifts were awarded.
