World AIDS Day is celebrated annually on December 1. This day serves as a reminder of the need to stop the global spread of the HIV epidemic. On November 30, 2023, the Department of Transport and Technology held a meeting with students of the 1st year of educational programs 6B07104 Technological machines and equipment, 6B11301 Organization of transportation, movement and operation of transport, 6B07101 Transport, transport equipment and technologies on the topic: “December 1 – World AIDS Day” with the participation of epidemiologist of the regional Center for HIV Prevention of the WKO Victoria Vladimirovna Tsoi.

To popularize testing and raise awareness about the ways of HIV transmission, employees of the regional HIV prevention center conduct trainings and seminars for students of the city. In order to strengthen knowledge, the inadmissibility of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV (PLHIV).

The event was also attended by the teaching staff of the educational programs 6B07102 Electric power, 6B07105 Automation and Control (by industry), 6B06104 Computer Engineering and Information Systems, 6B07301 Architecture.
