On February 4, 2025, Shalaev B.B., senior lecturer at the Department of General Education Disciplines at the Industrial Technology Institute, took an active part in West Kazakhstan region Winter Presidential All-around (polyathlon) Championship. The program of the sports event included: cross-country skiing, shooting with an air rifle, pull-up on a crossbar. Athletes from the city and districts of the West Kazakhstan region took part in this championship. According to the results of polyathlon, Bulat Berekeshevich Shalaev in the age category of 70+ and took the second prize with a total score of 212.80 and fulfilled the standard of Candidates for the Master of Sports (CMS).
