On 4 September of this year, the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives of the West Kazakhstan Region organized the nationwide language festival “Til – Tutastyq Tuy” (“Language is the Banner of Unity”).
A delegation of faculty members and students, led by B.T. Shakeshev, Rector of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology, took part in the festival. The lecturers and scholars of our university have always actively participated in regional and national cultural and educational events aimed at promoting and supporting the state language.
During the festival, an awards ceremony was held. Aigul Abibolkyzy Ramanova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Director of the Institute of Education and Management, was awarded a Certificate of Honour by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Altyn Kopir (“Golden Bridge”) International Forum was also held as part of the festival. Representatives of the Kazakh diaspora from the Russian cities of Orenburg, Saratov, Samara, and Magnitogorsk, as well as from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, delivered speeches and expressed their warm feelings and deep affection for their ancestral homeland.
