In honor of Oil and Gas Industry Workers’ Day, the Institute of Industrial Technologies and the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering of West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University organized an educational event for first-year students.

The aim of the event was to introduce first-year students to their chosen specialty, Oil and Gas Engineering, broaden their understanding of the importance of the oil and gas industry, increase their professional interest, and express appreciation to faculty members and specialists who have devoted many years to working in this field.

As part of the event, students familiarized themselves with the department’s educational and laboratory facilities, as well as the equipment and technologies used in the oil and gas industry.

Particular attention was paid to faculty members with more than 20 years of professional experience. Experienced instructors shared their professional expertise with the students, spoke about the specific aspects of their chosen profession, and offered guidance to future specialists.

The students were also shown a video about the Oil and Gas Engineering specialty. During an open dialogue, first-year students shared their reasons for choosing this field and had the opportunity to ask the faculty members questions of interest to them.

The event provided a platform for intergenerational continuity, the exchange of professional experience, and the development of students’ interest in their future profession.
