West Kazakhstan region has joined the republican campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”. The environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan” has been held since 2023 on the initiative of the Head of State and is aimed at restoring and increasing the country’s green fund, improving the environmental situation, cleaning up garbage and increasing public responsibility for the state of the environment. As part of his participation in the Taza Kazakhstan eco-festival, President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, together with environmental activists, planted a tree on the territory of the capital’s Zhastar Park in Astana.
According to plans, 228 thousand trees will be planted in the region, including about 5 thousand in the regional center – Uralsk. On April 21, that is, on the first day of the campaign, 55 trees have already been planted on the First President’s Square, where student activists of the Institute of Education and Management of WKITU also made their contribution.
Akim of WKR Nariman Turegaliev, who participated in the event, emphasized that the environmental campaign is not only about greening and landscaping the territories, but also a contribution to the formation of a culture of responsibility to nature.
