The Rector of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, B.T. Shakeshev, officially received the university student Қасан Ақдидар — the winner of the Republican Student Sports League held in Almaty — and congratulated her on her outstanding victory.

During the meeting, the rector noted that the student’s achievement at the national level is an important success that enhances the prestige not only of the university but of the entire region. He also expressed gratitude to the athlete, who promotes a healthy lifestyle among young people and serves as an example of perseverance and hard work, and wished her further success in international and national competitions.

In May 2026, in Almaty, at the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Student Sports League, competitions in Kazakh wrestling were held among university students. The first-year student of the “Law” educational program, Қасан Ақдидар, in the 75+ kg weight category (women), confidently defeated all her opponents and won the gold medal.

This achievement is a clear demonstration that the university successfully develops both education and sports in parallel. Her determination and will to win serve as an example for young people and enhance the reputation of the educational institution.

In addition, during the event, the rector of the university presented a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, to Vice-Rector for Educational Work A.
