As part of the implementation of the program of events “Decade of Science 2023”, on April 5, 2023, a meeting of students and undergraduates of the OP “Veterinary Medicine”, “Veterinary Medicine” with the director of the Research Center of Veterinary and Biotechnology, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor G.G. Absatirov took place at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety.
During the meeting, Professor G.G. Absatirov shared with the students his vision and experience on the topic “How to start your way into science”. In the presentation format, he told and demonstrated to the students the stages of the formation of his scientific and pedagogical activity.
As the professor noted, the introduction of students to science begins with 2-3 courses of study, through classes in subject student circles, where students learn the basics of scientific work. The results of participation in student circles become the topic of participation in student scientific conferences, subject Olympiads, and in some cases, the introduction to scientific projects of the department and the university.
For a scientific start and further growth, love of science and talent alone are not enough, painstaking work, perseverance and the help of a scientific supervisor are also needed. But you can withstand all the difficulties of this path only if you love your profession, the subject and the topic of your research.
Immersion in the world of science promises a lot of interesting meetings, the geography of mutual cooperation with scientists both inside and outside Kazakhstan. Examples of such meetings in the format of photo illustrations were given by Professor G.G. Absatirov.
An exhibition of the author’s scientific works of the scientist was organized for the participants of the meeting: monographs, textbooks, encyclopedias.
Such meetings are useful to everyone. This gives scientists and teachers the opportunity to comprehend their path, sum up preliminary results, and see their achievements. The meetings give students and undergraduates the opportunity to find themselves.
