The II Turkish Universiade in 7 sports: volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, chess, judo, freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling is being held in Turkestan from November 5 to 10, 2023 on the basis of the Olympic Center sports complex and the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi.
The purpose of the Turkic Universiade is to promote comprehensive cooperation between the Turkic countries through sports competitions among students. More than 450 student-athletes from the participating countries of the Organization of Turkic States (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan) and Hungary (observer) took part in the Universiade.
The 1st-year student of OP 6B07201 “Oil and gas business” of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University Shyntas Serikbolsyn took part in judo competitions in the weight category -100 kg and took the second prize (silver medal).
