On the basis of a bilateral memorandum of cooperation between the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University and the Kokand University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to develop academic mobility and improve the exchange of experience between the teaching staff of higher educational institutions, the instructors of the Foreign Languages ​and Translation Studies department, associate professor, Candidate of philological sciences Matzhanova G.Zh. and senior lecturer, Master of pedagogical sciences, Ishangalieva K.S., senior lecturers of the Department of Finance and Economics, Master of Economic Sciences, Salimbaeva Sh.D., Master of Economics Zhienbaeva G.M. from May 18 to May 25, 2024, carried out a scientific internship at Kokand University.

The main goal of the internship is to improve theoretical knowledge and teaching methods, conduct joint scientific research and exchange practical experience. Senior lecturers  Ishangalieva K.S., Zhienbaeva G.M. presented the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University to students and teaching staff of Kokand University.

Associate professor, Candidate of philological sciences Matzhanova G.Zh. and senior lecturer, Master of pedagogical sciences, Ishangalieva K.S. completed a scientific internship on the topic “ESOL foundation: research methods and teaching approaches”, majoring in the English language and literature. While senior lecturers, Master of Economic sciences, Salimbaeva Sh.D., Master of Economics Zhienbaeva G.M. improved their knowledge in the field of finance and economics on the topic “Current issues of modern statistical research.”

In turn, associate professor Matzhanova G.Zh. delivered lectures on the topics “Audiovisual translation in Kazakhstan: challenges and perspectives”, “Teaching young learners: language learning and acquisition” to the 2^nd course students of the “World Languages” specialty and young teaching faculty, sharing her experience with them. Senior lecturer Salimbaeva Sh.D. addressed the topic “Development of tourism business in the Republic of Kazakhstan” to the 3^rd course students of the Department of International Tourism and Economics.

During the academic exchange, the teachers met with the director of the Kokand University G.E. Zakhidov and discussed the possibility of creating a joint educational program and further bilateral cooperation.
