On the 15th of October, 2024, the Department of General Educational Disciplines of IIT organized a round table dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of “Saken Seifullin – a passionate singer, a caring public figure.”

The round table was attended by teachers of the Institute and 1st year students of the EP “Architecture”. At the beginning of the event, a video about the fate of Saken Seifullin was shown. The opening speech was made by the head of the department, professor, candidate of historical sciences. Kadyrgaliev Nurbulat Mendygalievich, moderator – Kaiyrzhanov Kurmangazy Bekbolatovich.

Muratbay Zhansaya, 1st year student of the EP “Technology and Food Safety”, gave a report on the life of Saken Seifullin, then professor of the department, Ph.D. Shkanova Bakhyt Azhgulovna, spoke about the work of Saken Seifullin. As part of the round table, Nurlash Ulzhan Kulbaevna, a 1st year student of the EP “Transport, transport technologies” read the poet’s poems.
