On April 16, 2026, first- and second-year students of WKITU studying in the 6B03201–Librarianship program participated in the III International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Document in the Sociocultural Space of the Region” in an online/offline format at the Kazan State Institute of Culture and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
The students presented the following papers: A.A. Kurmanova, “Digital Resources about Gumar Karash: Formation of a Local History Collection”; Z.A. Kuangalieva, “Library Promotion on Social Media as a Factor in Shaping Positive Public Opinion” (supervised by senior lecturer Z.B. Utesheva); and Z.A. Yessetova, “School Libraries: Modern Technologies for Promoting Reading” (supervised by senior lecturer B.S. Dosmukhanova).
The purpose of the Conference is to facilitate collaboration between emerging researchers in addressing current issues in theory and practice, history, the current state, and prospects of the creation, functioning, and research of documents in society, in the information and sociocultural space, in social communication systems, and in assessing the experience and innovative practices in the information and documentation sphere. Students received certificates of participation, and their supervisors received letters of gratitude.
