On December 5, 2024, at the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, senior lecturer and Master of Technical Sciences, E.D. Ashimova, conducted an open practical lesson on the topic “Pumps and Pump Stations” as part of the “Oil and Gas Collection and Processing” course for students of group ND-41O.

The main goal of the lesson was to combine students’ theoretical knowledge with practical skills regarding different types of pumps, their structures, and applications. The session covered the operating principles of piston and centrifugal pumps, highlighting their industrial importance. Interactive activities and tasks were used to enhance the learning process.

Various teaching methods were employed during the lesson: students analyzed diagrams and watched videos explaining the operating principles of pumps. The topic was reinforced through interactive games. Additionally, students enhanced their linguistic skills by learning technical terms in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

This lesson played a significant role in developing the students’ theoretical and practical skills.
