On November 25, 2025, second-year students of the educational program 6B11201 “Life Safety and Environmental Protection,” under the supervision of Senior Lecturer Zha. A. Murzabekov, visited the emergency rescue unit of the Department for Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan Region.
During the training, specialists of the rescue unit demonstrated modern emergency-rescue equipment, personal protective gear, and explained the specifics of conducting rescue operations in various emergency situations, including environmental protection measures during their elimination. The students learned about the daily duties of rescuers, their professional training, and their actions during natural and man-made disasters.
Particular attention was paid to fire safety, first aid skills, and compliance with occupational safety requirements. Under the guidance of experienced specialists, the students had the opportunity to practice working with hydraulic rescue tools.
The training sparked great interest among the students—they actively asked questions and expressed gratitude to the DES staff. The event became an important step in developing the professional competencies of future specialists and left vivid and memorable impressions.
